Thinking 315's, but how bad will they chip the bumper?

I want to get some 17" zr1's and put 315 35 17's on it, but ive read that they chip the paint behind the tire on the bumper..how bad can it be? Im in colorado and theres rocks all over the streets..

Post pics of your rear bumpers (if you have 315's) if you don't mind!

i've got 315 DR on my car...no noticable chips due to rocks.

and the DRs are sticky and pick up everything. you HEAR IT when you go over gravel

Ditto.... the only thing I noticed was a slight "hazing" of the flat part of the bumper cover directly facing the rear of the tire..... same hazing that you get from any wide tires. No chips or problems with the rest of the cover. I'd take a pic, but the leading edges of the bumper cover had to be cut off to make room for slicks.

I've got some chips on mine. I guess its just something I have to live with, would never hook without them. I have a black car so you can notice everything.
