Is there any possible way to make my salad shooter look nice? i would like to have new wheels but i just had a baby and were pretty tight on money right now.
I lied to myself for many years thinking they looked ok. I'm still running stock Camaro wheels, but the 10 spoke SS wheels are night/day compared to how the old salad shooters looked. I got my 10 spokes with MT ET streets on the rear for @ $300.
Keep the salad shooters clean. I guess they are clear coated or something? I see lots of them with the face peeling off. I like the black but I would do the cover too. I don't like the plastic chrome in the middle. Polished lip would be ok.

Nope. Impossible.
hehe. You could get them polished or painted/powdercoated black or charcoal gray. Personally I'd just keep them as clean as possible and save up for a new set of wheels if that's what you desire. There's nothing wrong with a clean set of salad shooters.

Yes! sand blast them and have the polished
I took mine to a metal polishing shop and they came out better looking than chrome and now weigh less than 17 lbs. Cost me $125 / wheel. cheaper lighter and stronger than chrome.
my buddy had his dipped in chrome a few times... looked really nice before... Viewers discretion is advised:

and if your wondering about the blinker/running light under z28 on the side, it was a Japanese spec car. Don't know if it was sold first in the states, or directly sold in Japan, but he got the 94 in 96 or 97 after about 20k miles and it no longer passed smog rules in Japan.
Then he had some fun on the freeway... RIP (only person I know who can total a car without hitting anything)

He kept them really nice, always washed his car at least 2 or 3 times a week, so they always looked beautiful
