Has anyone here ever strip the paint off wheels, polish then, and had them clear coated? I really like the look of the SS 10 spoke wheels but also realy like the look of polished aluminum (better than chrome IMO).

I'm wondering if I find a set of either painted or chrome wheels for a good price if it's possible (and good idea) to strip and polish them and get them clear coated. Or in the end it'll cost the same as just getting a set of aftermarket polished wheels.
