Question Stripped Wheel Lock

I partially stripped the teeth on my wheel lock yesterday while trying to get the tire off for a rotation. I can't get the nut off. Has this happened to anyone here, and if so, how did you eventually get the wheel lock off?

Re: Stripped Wheel Lock

They make sockets with teeth on the inside that you have to hammer on the wheel lock. The teeth bite in to the lug, and then you just unscrew it. I bought mine from Snap On, but I only used it twice.

Re: Stripped Wheel Lock

Go to a wheel/tire shop and they can remove it.

Re: Stripped Wheel Lock

Craftsman's bolt-out kit works perfectly. I have removed totally round bolts and studs with this kit.

good luck
