Question SS Wheels

Hi, Can I put a 285 tire in a 17.9 OEM SS Wheels ???

There are probaby MANY different opinions on this but yes you could easily do that. I had 315s on my 17x9's WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND that though!

Most tire manufacturers recommend at least a 9.5" wide wheel for a 285/40-17 tire. I doubt you would run into any problems with them on the 17x9's.

A 315/35-17 requires at least a 10.5" wide wheel if you believe the people that designed and manufacture them.
