Slicks and stock rims

I bought 2 used salad shooters off of ebay to mount slicks on. Looking at the Mickey Thompson Et's that sre supposed to be the best per my local speed shop in size 26X10.5X16 but these require tube's and a 9" rim. Will they work with the salad shooters or should I consider something else? I want as close to stock diameter as I have stock 3.23 gears.

Which "ET"..... ET Street Radial or ET Street?

The 26x10.5-16 (26.1") ET Street Radial is actually a 255/50-16, and will fit on a wheel from 7.0 - 9.0" wide, with 8.0" the "measured" (preferred) size. It is tubeless.

The 26x10.5-16 (26.0") ET Street has a "measured" wheel width of 9.0", but many have run them on 8.0" wheels with no problems. While they are written up as requiring tubes, many of us have run them tubeless with no problems, except the need to check the pressure frequently. For big HP cars, rim screws would be a good idea if running them without tubes.

My speed shop is recommending the 2nd one because of much better 60 ft times. My car is pretty much stock although I just added headers and plan to take it to the tack soon to see the difference. I was doing 2.1 60 ft times before the headers so I want the best slick I can get.

When the M/T ET Street Radials first came out, one of the magazines tested them and they were as quick, or quicker than the regular ET Streets. M/T is now introducing radial technology to their ET Drag line, but unfortunately only in the larger diameters.....
