Ok this may sound like a really dumb question but when you rotate your tires do you just move the fronts to the back and vice versa? is that all or is there a certain order?

 

I am pretty srue depending on your tires you criss cross them. front right goes back left. front left goes back right and vice versa

 

usually you ptu right rear on left front and left rear to right front and front tires go straight back. If you have directional tires, just go front to back back to front

 

You can cross rotate, but I was told when I worked at the Chevy dealer that they didn't want me cross rotoating radials..

Look to see if you have directional tires. If you do just switch the fronts and backs. Keep them on the same side.

 

you can rotate radials any which way you want..as long as they arent directional

at work we bring the fronts straight back and cross the rears to the front

 

I work for Pepboys and I was "TOLD" that on todays tires, Cross rotating will not yield any better results than Front to Back and Back to Front... They don't even allow us to perform cross rotation...
