RIMS and TIRES

I bought a 2001 Z28 Convertable in Mar 06 with factory 16 inch rims.
I'm looking to replace with the 06 Z06 rims (17 inch 9.5) and put 275/40/17 on the car.

Will the 275/40/17 fit in the front without rubbing anything within the wheelwell?

Thanks,

The 275/40-17 tires were stock on the SS/WS6 coupes, and there was no rubbing. There is no measurable difference between the coupe and convertible wheel wells.

The key to avoiding rubbing is to use a wheel with the correct offset. There is a post in the Wheel and Tire FAQ that addresses offsets for various width 4th Gen wheels.

Thanks, I'll check the site.

I think the offset is 50mm, however when I recieved the 06 ZO6 RIMS they were stamped 54mm.

Thanks I just checked your posting in the Tire Q&A area.
I appreciate the information...looks like the 54mm offset is within the allowable range.

Thanks again.

Go with an 18x9.5 Wheel with 275/35/18 tires. They will look much better.
