Rim Suggestions?

Looking to buy me a new set for the Z. Any recommendations? They have to fit a 275/40/17 tire, and preferably a darker color (black, gunmetal, etc).

Tire recommendations would be nice too if anyone has any heads-up on what to avoid.

Re: Rim Suggestions?

Avoid Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 and all other cheap budget tires unless thats all you can afford.
What do they offer over there and what are you looking for in a tire?
There are so many wheel recommendations, you need to narrow it down on price, size and style and if you want to try the 5/120mm pattern or if you want to stick with 5/120.6mm (3.75").

Re: Rim Suggestions?

Willing to spend < $1500 on rims, 17s all around unless someone wants to vouch for the staggered setup. IMO, it seems more like a drag car setup. I'm also willing to go up to $5-600ish on tires. More if they're THAT good.

For tires, I'm leaning more toward all-season and the aesthetics of the tread pattern is important to me, as well as function of course. I'm especially interested in a tire that delivers a comfortable ride, as my car is a daily driver and I like to go long, long distances at a time in it. I must admit that things such as "5/120mm patterns" and offsets are foreign to me.

EDIT:

I just read the FAQ. What would be necessary to fit a 120mm pattern onto my car, and are there more choices when going with a 120mm over the stock pattern? Thanks!

Re: Rim Suggestions?

Yes there are more choices. Many people run the 5/120mm w/no probs. Several places even sell 5/120mm wheels for the f-body.

IMO, it depends on what you feel comfortable with. I won't try to sway you either way.
