Except stock wheels on the SS and WS6 are 17x9.0".

Moving to "Wheels and Tires".

I just got two new ZR1 replica 17x9.5 for my car because two of my factory wheels were bent. Are the factory wheels really 17x9.0 and now I have two size wheels on my car?? I thought they were the same?

SS and WS6 stock wheels are 17x9.0 with a 50mm offset.

Does that mean that I need to eventually buy two more replica wheels so that they match, or is this not a noticeable difference?

Re: Recommended tire sizes....

What's the offset on the ZR1 replicas? If its 56mm, you will be fine. It its not, you probably need to keep the replicas in the back.

Is say a '96 SS ZR1 wheel 17x9.5? As opposed to LS1 SS's, being 17x9.0?

The offset is 56mm. I have them on the front so that there is zero vibrations in the steering wheel (I think I have another wheel that has a slight vibration). I can't tell by looking at them that the replicas are 1/2 inch wider than the stock wheels, but I wish I never found that out. I am very neurotic and now it'll always bother me that two of them are 1/2 inch wider than the others. Oh well.

Thanks for the info!

I had 285's (BFG KDW) on my '02 Z28 and loved them. They REALLY stick to the road. The only thing is that with tires that wide up front, you are going to feel it pull you from side to side a little depending on the type of road you're on. They will grab the ruts in the road pretty good. So keep that in mind when going to a wider tire, especially up front.

If you can deal with that, I would say go with 285's all around!

One more time..... 4th Gen WS6 and SS wheels (regardless of "year") are 17x9.0" with a 50mm offset.

A 245/45-17 tire is not intended to fit on a 9.5" wide wheel. 9.0" is the widest that most manufacturers recommend for that tire.
