How big of a tire are you guys getting under your cars i have a 1995 camaro running QTP 28-11.5-15 and im looking @ the M/t 28-13.5-15 witch is 1inch more tread width.

 

I'm sure this will be moved to the proper section but.....


I ran MT 28-12.5-15 last year and they got cut up real bad on the passenger fender (side wall only). They never leaked but I switched to MT 28-11.5-15 now and like them a lot better. They do not have an issue with cutting when I bounce on a bump. BUT, I have a friend who runs the 12.5 and he does not have ANY problems so I guess it's just hit or miss with different cars. He cuts 1.4's 60' so they hook good.

 

Helpful hint.... "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech" is only for questions about the engine. We have a "Wheels and Tires" forum for questions like this. There is an FAQ for street wheels, and another for drag wheels. A "search" may turn up more info, but I don't think I've seen anyone running a 13.5" wide slick. What kind of HP are you putting down that would require a tire that large?
