question about tire sizes
question about tire sizes
my tires are 70 in the front and 50 in the rear. i know that because somebody told me. now what exactly does that mean? lol. also when looking at new tires i see 3 numbers, can someone please explain to me what it is i am looking at? thanks.
The middle number is the percentage of the width.
On a 245/50/16 tire,the width of the tire is 245mm,the profile(sidewall height) is 50% of 245mm = 122.5mm,and the 16 means it will fit a 16 inch diameter rim.
