Problem After Wheel Install?

After I installed my new wheels I seem to be having problem with the Low Trac light. The light seems to come on very easily. If I lay into the pedal kinda hard the light will come on even if the wheels are not slipping. It will also come on if I swerve or make a hard turn. It almost feels like the rear of the car is drifting a little bit when I swerve. My only guess is that the tires are too wide for the wheels. I have 275/35/18 tires on the back mounted on a 18x8.5 wheel. Anyone have any ideas?

I taking a guess here but how about trying new performance pads? Maybe that can help.

And for the rear swere get a strut tower brace this helped me out a lot on my 98 camaro, then when I went with subfram connectors the car handles really good on a fast turn.

New performance pads? What do you mean?
