Opinions on wheel/tire combo
I bought a 2000 Z/28 over the summer. It was pretty much stock, including the original 16x8 wheels. I would like to get into autocrossing and eventually road racing (I've never done either). The car is not a daily driver and I am more interested in performance than comfort.
I've noticed several threads mentioning Complete Custom Wheels out of Daytona Beach, Florida. I am interested in their 3 piece "street" wheels. Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with these wheels? How is their quality, durability, etc.?
From what I've read in various threads, I'm leaning towards 17x9-1/2, 56mm offset fronts with 275/40/17 tires and 17x11, 50mm offset rears with 315/35/17 tires. Tires would be BF Goodrich KD.
I am also planning to upgrade the suspension and brakes prior to any runs. With all this in mind, how well would this wheel/tire combo work for carving corners?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Opinions on wheel/tire combo
I posted these same questions on the f-body road race forum. The replies I've received so far suggest 17x11's all the way around for cornering. There is also a nice piece regarding modifications to make 17x11's fit. The 17x11, 50mm offset seems to work fine in the rear, but requires a 7/32" spacer in front.
I'd rather stay away from spacers. If I did the math right, a 17x11 with 44mm offset would eliminate the need for a spacer in the front. If I were to put these on all four corners (assuming I can find them), where would the outer edge of the of the wheel/tire be in relation to the outer lip of the fenders/quarter panels?
I would also appreciate any input on the CCW wheels.
Thanks again.

Re: Opinions on wheel/tire combo
The Torque Thrust II 17x11's have a 45mm offset. I would guess that would put the wheel/tire about 1/2" outside the front fender, but that's just a guess.
