Nittos and daily driving

I was thinking about getting some Nitto 555's for the rear of my car. I am going to stick with the stock 16" rims. What is the widest I can go for tire size? How do these handle in corners for daily driving?

Sweet. I have also heard that they are not too sticky so that I would break my rear end on the street.

Re: Nittos and daily driving

u heard that u WILL break ur rear end or wont...if its u heard u will break it wit nittos ...false....they are not slicks or anytihgn..they are a good daily driver tire if u like racing on the streets and no having to put new rims on the weekend with DR's...i mean it will be ineviatable for people to break their rear ends...but u wont all of a sudden break it the first day with ur drag radials...i have had mine on for about 4 thousad miles and nothign yet...

Re: Nittos and daily driving

I hear BFG are better for hooking *stickier* than the Nittos are. M/T ET Street Radials are also very very good tires, but they don't last very long, maybe 4-5,000 miles.

The Nittos hook pretty well, should shave off some time in the 1/4.

No I heard not to go with anything sticker than Nittos if I was going to use them at the track and on the street cuz of the glass rear end.
