Nitto NT05
Nitto NT05
I just got them on and had them aligned today.
Before, I had the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 that were heat-cycled from Tire Rack. Not bad... ran great the first half of the life of the tire... then the grip gave out the 2nd half.
The Nitto NT05s are very nice and grip hard on dry pavement but watch out in the rain... need to really keep it low on the RPMs or it will break away really easily.
With a careful launch, I can get a good bite. However, my car will run hard up until about 4800 ish then break grip. The Goodyear tires did this too but at a much lower RPM.
So, I have to lift in 1st and 2nd after 4800 or I'll just sit and burn out at speed. 3rd through 5th is ok at WOT.
What is causing the lack of grip at 4800 up?
What tire pressures are you guys running?
Is there anything I can do to hook at high RPM?
Thanks
