Which Nitto for the front?

I am getting NT 555R Extreme Drag for the bag. What would be good to put on the front? I need something good for dry and wet weather because it will be driven daily.

I'd run just the normal 555's. If the car is a DD and will be driven in the rain I'd strongly urge you not to run drag radials for your safety.

I agree with 6spdlt1z. Unfortunately i know from experience! A 5 minute rain caused me to total a very nice trans am that i had for over 10yrs and was always garage kept. Just to add insult to injury i had just built a 383 about a month before i wrecked. Anyway if you do keep the drag radials on a daily driver please be careful. I was very lucky that my wife and myself was not injured or worse.

I had heard the nitto drag radials done good on wet conditions. Did I hear wrong cause I wont put them on if they arent good in wet conditions.

I can think of a few totalled fbody owners that might wish they could go back and run a different tire.

Re: Which Nitto for the front?

It's all relative... the Nittos are probably better for wet traction than the other drag radials - M/T, BFG, etc. - but they still are no match for standard tire due to the very shallow tread pattern. Just get an NT 555.

A drag radial in the back is bad enough in the rain. Putting one on the front makes absolutely no sense at all. The 555R and 555RII are both rated lower on wet traction even using Nitto's own literature.

That was a typo in the original post. I meant back. You are right about it not making any sense to put drag radials on the front.
