New Tire recomendations????

I need to buy some new rubber for my 2002 z28. I wanted to get the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3 tires that the car came with but apparently they are very hard to come by. Just wondering if anyone can suggest something similar or just as good as the goodyears.

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS are good if your looking at all season. they have a high wear rating and aren't super expensive.

Personally, I hate Goodyear tires. They are WAY too expensive compared to the others, and they never seem to last very long.

I would reccomend getting some Nitto 555's. The tread life is over 400, and they will hook great in most every wheather condition. Not to mention they are MUCH cheeper than the Goodyears.

The GS-D3's are the best youre going to get for rain performance, however, I cant complain with my Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval's, they are cheaper than the Goodyears and have better wear rating.

Who intentionally drives their sports car in the rain? I though he was looking for a good tire for his sports car?

What are you looking to use the car for? Daily driver, weekend toy, going to see any strip time? What mods do u have? How much power are u putting to the ground? These are all questions that need to be answered before you can decide what tire you need.

I was just messin with ya . My Formula is my DD, and even my Z sees rain occasionally, so I know you need a tire that can also safely drive on the wet roads as well. Those particular Goodyears are actually very good all round. I just always fall back to the fact that they are REALLY expensive compared to other tires, and their treadlife is pretty low.

My Formula has Khumo Ecsta Supra tires on it. They handle excellent in the rain and have an extremly high tread life, and best yet they were really cheep. On the downside, they don't hook very well.

My Nitto DR's actually do surprisingly well in the rain (not as good as the Khumo's or probably other regular street tires, but excellent for drag radials), and they hook like a MF, and they were pretty cheep, but the trade off is they don't last long.

Best all round street tire IMO, is honestly the Nitto 555. It has an extremly high tread life, it hooks well in both wet and dry weather, and they won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Another vote for the GS-D3s. I have BFGs KDWS now, which aren't bad, but I definitely like the Goodyears better. The BFGs are a better price, if you're on a budget.
