Need a good drag radial tire that's also good on the street I won,t be driving in the rain so that's not a problem any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

take your pick, bfg and nitto are just about even as far as traction goes and both are very streetable. M/T drag radials are the best ones available for the track, but are not as good as the other two for street driving.

 

I love my M/T ET Radials and they are all I run on my car...They are actually wearing better on the street than my old BFG DRs...I don't drive it everyday, but they have been ok when I got caught in the rain...The secret is to run no more than 25 psi on the street. The centers will wear out real fast if you don't check the wear pattern. I just use my daughter's driveway chaulk across the tread, drive a bit, and check the wear...Plus they hook outstanding..I was 1.55ing on them in the 255 50 R16s on 16x8 stockers last year...

Those would be the MT street drag radials? Would the 255/50 16's fit on my stock 16" wheels

 

Yes, I ran those on stock 16x8s last year...1.55 60's with my set up...
