Need opinions on Tires for 18X9" Wheels
Need opinions on Tires for 18X9" Wheels
Okay I have pretty much decided to go with BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2's tires
But I have not decided on the tire size...
My car is also lowered in the front 3" and 2" in the back, the top of my front tires bang against the fenderwall when i go over hard bumps/ traintracks when i go to fast (over 20 MPH). The rears have no clearance issues.
I Have 245/50R16 on the car now...
Currently my Tire has a 529 mm diameter.
I only have about 1-2 inches of room between the top my tire and the plastic fenderwall...
285/30R18 would yield a 543 mm diameter .55" larger
275/35R18 would yield a 553.5 mm diameter 1" larger
275/30R18* would yield a 540 mm diameter .4" larger
265/35R18 would yield a 550 mm diameter .82" larger
255/35R18 would yield a 547 mm diameter .70" larger
Note* I cannot find any of these tires
What should I Do?

You've got to get your abacus tuned up...
... its only adding one sidewall height to the wheel diameter. You need to add 2 sidewalls to the wheel diameter to get the overall tire diameter.
245/50-16
245 x .50 = sidewall = 122.5mm
2 sidewalls = 2 X 122.5 = 245mm
16" diamter x 25.4 = 406mm
Diameter + 2 sidewalls = 406 + 245 = 651mm = 25.65"
275/35-18
275 x .35 = 96.25
96.25 x 2 = 192.5mm
18 x 25.4 = 457.2mm
192.5 + 457.2 = 649.6mm = 25.58"
