Need new tires
Need new tires
i just ordered some 17x9.5 ZR1 rims for the rear to match the front and i was wondering what would be a good all round tire for the rear, Are the the Fuzion Zri tires and the pirelli PZero Nero good tires?
I also noticed that most people get 18's rims in the rear is 17's rims ok?
Also what size goes in the back is it 275/40-17 or is it something else?
I'm wanting to get a good all round tire that has good traction in all weather any suggestions?

Re: Need new tires
17's are fine in the back..... the factory put 17's on thousands of WS6's and SS's.
275/40-17 or 285/40-17 will work on a 17" rim. The 275 is a perfect match to the diameter of the 245/50-16's if that's what your car had stock. The 285 is the perfect match to the diameter of the 235/55-16's if that's what your car left the factory with.
Hopefully you bought the 17x9.5 ZR1's with the 56mm offset.
Go to Tire Rack. Do a "search by size". When you get the list of tires in that size, you can do a comparison of many of them, clicking on the "survey" results, or the "test" results. The survey listing compares the tires in areas such as dry traction, wet traction, cornering, tread wear, noise, etc. That way you can find the best all-around tire for your specific needs. The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 generally offers the best combination of wet and dry traction.
