Need info on First Gen Wheels ...
Hello everyone,
I am considering putting new wheels/tires on my '69 SS. Does anyone know if the following will work? I've seen a few posts on the net about others using this kind of setup ... but want to be sure I don't need to make any modifications before I make the purchases.
275/50/15's on 15x8.5 Torq Thrust D's in rear
225/60/15's on 15x7 Torq Thrust D's in front
Anyone running a similar setup? Also, can anyone recommend the best source for Torq Thrust D's. Many Thanks for any info.

Check the sizes I posted in this post. These were what Chevy High Performance found to be the biggest that you could go without fender mods. Is this the info you needed??

Re: Need info on First Gen Wheels ...
That should fit but you need to fit out the back space........ with a 7 " in the front you'll need at least 3.75" and with a 8.5" rear you'll 4.50-5" of BS to keep from rubbing either on turns or bumps.
