Need help with wheels..
I have a 94z28 and want to run some skinnys and some wide meats in the back... I am looking at the new mickey thompson et
http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/racewheels.html
I know I am of course going with the fronts 15X3.50 with the sportmans mt tires, anyone else recomend some of tire brands...
and for the rears I am debating on the 15X8 15X10 and have no clue what backspacing to use... Also I want to run the et street radials and what size do you all recomend using 295/50/15 etc...
This is not a daily driver, but if I am stuck in the rain I can deal with the et street radials, I currently have them on my car on stock rims...
THanks for your opinions and help
BTW anyone buy these wheels yet, they look killer!!

Re: Need help with wheels..
with a 295 your goona want to go with the 10" tire and with the 10" tire your gonna want a 7.5" back spacing.... You will also need to grind the caliper a bit and depending on wich wheels you want to run.. New studs and a spacer in th front
Re: Need help with wheels..
For the rear, you need 15x8 with 5.5" backspace, or 15x10 with 7.5" BS. I don't see those sizes listed for the M/T's. Not many wheel manufacturers make them. I also looked at the M/T website, and don't see anything larger than a 275/50-15 in the ET Street Radials, at least not in a 26" diameter tire. That tire requires a 10" wide rim, at least according to M/T.
There are larger 15" tires, but they are 28" diameter, which start to run into clearance problems on the 4th Gens.
I'll leave the front tires to you, as I wouldn't want to get involved in the liability of recommending a tire on that narrow a wheel for street use on a car that has 58% of its weight on thr front wheels.
