I need some help choosing some rims for my '86 Camaro. My plan is to run 275 width and 16" rims in the rear with 225 width and 16" rims in the front. My friend runs these sizes on his Monte and I love the way they look.

Problem is, I'm not great at finding rims and tires that will work on certain cars. I was hoping you guys could tell me the backspacing that I should look for or even provdie me with links to rims that'll work and that look good for a farily cheap price.

Here are a few I like just to give you guys an idea of wht I'm interested in:

Outlaw II
Outlaw I
The ones I don't know the name of, but that I like the best.

Those are a few wheels that I like. I also really like the Toque Thrust D wheels, but I don't know if they'd look to good on a 3rd gen. if any one has some pics of Torue thrusts or the torque thrust D's I'd appreciate it if you could post them.

Re: Need help with rims.
i just sold a set of TTII's on a 90 3rd gen vert, looked good

the widest size availible in the 16 i believe is the 8 inch wide...not recommended for a 275 width tire

Re: Need help with rims.
Isn't an 8" wide tire like 235 or something? So should I look for something that's 9" wide?

Re: Need help with rims.
I've decided I want Dunlop GT Qualifiers in size 275/60R15 for the rear. Will those fit under my car without having to get wierd backspacing so it sticks out beyond the wheel wells? If not then I'll probably go with the same tires in 255/60R15 on the rear.

Front will be those same tires in size, 235/60R15 since that's what I currently have on all 4 corners of my car and they are fairly new with only about 500-1,000 miles on them. That way I can save $$$ by not buying 4 tires, but only 2.

Will the Outlaw or Outlaw II wheel fit any of the tires I want for front and rear?
