putting 99 C5 rims on 99 Z28 - need help

I want an extra set of tires for AutoX so I bought these C5 rims. What types of modification do I have to do to get them to work. I know that the center hole must be filed out alittle, but I am worried about the back spacing in the rear. Do I need to use a spacer? Also so what Is the widest tire I can fit on these rims. (17x8.5 front -- 18x9.5 rear) any advice would help.

On the rears grind either the center of the wheel or your hub about 1mm, just do it till it fits, its not much material to remove.

I know a guy with these wheels, they run fine, no backspacing issues, 18s on rear 17s front.

Whatever the stock sizes are, he bought the whole setup for $400. Probably 275 wide on the rear, profile 35? 40?

Fronts should be 245 or maybe 255, I'll ask when I catch him tomorow.

All you need to do is beat out the front inner fender well with a (big) hammer. spacers will work too, but they cost money and if you want to be safe with spacers you will also need longer studs.

I have a set of 97 C5 Wheels...I had to grind a slight bit of material of the center of the rim. I am running 274-35-18 on the rear and 245-45-17 on the fronts with no rubbing or any issues.

you most likely wouldn't have to worry about any rubbing with 275's but I am running 295-35-18's in the back so they are a bit wider. 275-45-17's in front.
