Need help with Nittos.

This question is regarding what psi to run them as daily drivers. Now, I've read that anything over 23 psi will result in the middle of the tire wearing out faster than the rest. I talked to my buddy tonight and he said he runs his at 35 on the street.

Heres the details:
I have 315/35/17s

He has 275/40/17s

He said that his tires don't wear out fast in the middle. As this is my first time having nittos, I have no idea how they will wear. I've been running them at 21 psi and have put about 1,000 kms on them.

So what should I be running my 315s at?

Thanks guys

What width wheels are you running your 315's on?

Yup, they are the drag radials. I think I will keep them at the current psi (just over 20) and drop it to 16 - 18 for the track.

Re: Need help with Nittos.

my 555r drag radials say max psi 44 or something like that.....so i run them 35-40 on the street. no problems at all in the 700 miles i have on them

ouch about 22 psi for the street is optimal for wear patterns to be correct
