Need the best traction tires

I have a 93 camaro z28. Runs high 10's. Drag radials do not seem to stick to the road. I was wondering would M/t street slicks be good for my car. I hate to run a slick on the road. I rather have something d.o.t approved

Let me get this straight. You have a high 10 second car, but you don't know if E.T. streets would work on your car.

Re: Need the best traction tires

Sorry for the confusion. I'm in the process of buying a high 10 second 93 camaro. Drag radials did not hook up at all on the test drive. I wanted to know if et streets would hook up on the streets

Re: Need the best traction tires

First of all, Hoosier's are going to be your best bet in my opinion. They are a pretty soft compound compared to the e.t. streets. They will hook better IMO, but nethier tire will be good for everyday driving. They will not be able to be driven in the rain and will generally wear pretty quickly. My car is a daily driven 10 second car, and I have no problem using BFG drag radials. If heated up, they hook as well as e.t. streets, and they are a LITTLE more friendly if you get caught in bad weather.
