MY CAR AND THE LOOK OF 335's

Hey guys, I am opening up this thread to your opinion on my cars rear tires. I plan on putting 315's back there in the future, but i found these on the message boards for a price I couldn't pass up. So I am tossing them on there till I finsh the car/get more $. Anyways, tell me what you think of the car and if you wanna jump staight to the pics of the tire fitting, jump to page 11.
Thanks for your opinion, good or bad.

any further and they'll double as a park bench. definately not visually pleasing but if they get the job done that's all that matters.

can you not have the adapters machined a little more so they fit better?

Re: MY CAR AND THE LOOK OF 335's

yeah, I guess i could. But that wouldn't happen until I test out the 315's and see how far they stick out. If they still stick out a bit and I manage to "make" more room under there, then yeah thats a good idea. Thx. Keep the opinions comin,

Strange that nobody else seems to like it so far, exept all my friends around here. I think it looks pretty cool, I guess I am also a little partial cuz I was the one that spent countless hours getting that shi t to fit. hehe

im going to have to agree with zach, looks like a redneck 4x4 from the rear. what kind of motor are you going to have in that beast to turn those over? its your ride though.

Re: MY CAR AND THE LOOK OF 335's

OK, I said i am gonna stick to 315's you guys. I just picked those up really, really , really cheap. So i am using them for now when I have no $ for new tires. And yeah I know they stick out, but whatever. I don't think it looks rednecky, but if u think so thats cool. The motor that will be turning these puppies is gonna be a aluminum headed 500hp 383, that will be getting a paxton next year, so yeah I need all the rubber I can get. I might machine the spacers a bit and mod the wells more so that they fit under the car. But that will happen once the car is totally done.

One last thing, if you guys wanna know more about the car, and what it is gonna be like, motor, tanny, suspention, etc. go to my page, please and then post what you think. I really am gonna need to have some huge tires.

Anyways thx for the opinions and if anybody else knows a great way to get a crap load of traction for a 500hp camaro, and not use wide *** tires, fill me in. This **** is ecpensive, haha, later

Re: MY CAR AND THE LOOK OF 335's

if you can afford an aluminum headed 500 hp paxton engine you can afford nicer wheels.

it isn't the width of the tire it's the compound and suspension as well as the driver. you can have all the tire in the world and it won't do you any good. if you like that look stick to it but that setup doesn't mean your going to hook any better then say a car like my own with 295's in the right location at the track. now if you were road racing that would be a different story all together on the width aspect but i would imagine you still want the car to look good doing it.

Re: MY CAR AND THE LOOK OF 335's

OK buddy, the guy who posted that stuff about me being able to afford a 500 paxton, read closely, very closely. I said in pretty plain english that I am getting the 383 this YEAR and hopefully the paxton NEXT YEAR. I am not loaded. I am 21 and a Mechanical engineering student at Northeastern University. I just finished my sophmore year and of course need to save every penny to buy the motor. So NO I am not loaded and can afford better wheels. Hell I can't afford better tires, I have to get everything off ebay, or help off forums. Gimme a break here. I can't even get the spacers machined right now, i have no money, I am trying to build the interior now...

Oh one last thing that guy that thinks he is so cool by saying "this is what 335's are supposed to look like" go F yourself man, Everybody knows you can put 335's on a fourth, how many third gens have you seen trying to pull it off. Oh thats right 0. So I am trying something new, if it works, cool. If not I buy dif tires eventually.

And the guy that said more tire isn't gonna help, I know that width is not all that matters, but it can't hurt. These tires are off an old Viper, so i assume they are pretty sticky, and second, I DO know that just about all your taction comes from your suspention. What do you think, I am going stock, , I am getting a 12 bolt, i am have solid LCAs, BMR adj torque arm, and an adj. panhard rod. What else do you want? I did jsut about all you can do without back halfing the car.

Anyways keep posting your opinions. Hope you guys can actually post an insightfull one. There have been a couple that were close to being helpful, but nope, none so far
