Mickey thompson et street R

275/40-17 vs 305/45-17
So i need new tires. Im looking into Mickey Thompson ET Street R bc i hear many good things about them. The car sees the track on occasion but i get there when i can.
My mods include LE TFS 2.5 heads and 234/244 .597/.614, 4l80e, 3800 stall, 3.73s and 150 plus nitrous.
So what would benefit me?
I know the 305 tire is a 28 inch tall tire with more sidewall. The are recommended for 9.5 inch wheels, i have a buddy who runs them on 9 inch rims and cuts 1.4 60s.
Im just lookingfor any experience with similar mods and tire diameters.
Id be happy with 1.6
thanks
