i have the 97 5 star 16" wheels right now, with the 5 black plastic lug nut covers on, which are attached (but obviously removeable) to the centre cover bit..

now, i'm getting the 00-02 10 spoke SS wheels, with the centre caps, with no lug covers, will my black lug nut covers fit happily over the lugs, happly with thes centre cover pice, or do i need to buy new ones (i'd assume they're the same difference)

They are removable. Just pop em out and they go right over. I had the same decision. I had 5 stars and was about to order new ones. Tried it and they fit.

 

I have a bunch of the caps from late model SS wheels. I will sell you 20 of them for $10 shipped. PM me if interested.
