LT1/LS1 Wheels

I have a 1994 Z28 with 138000 miles so i probably won't keep it but a couple more years so i was just wondering before i spent $2000 on a set of wheels if the bolt pattern, backspacing, offset, ect. are the same between my car and an LS1 car....more specific a 2000-2002 WS6 trans am? Thanks for the info.

The wheels off a ls1 will fit any lt1 car with a couple of mods...you just hafta grind down the hubs on the rear a little and shave a little off the inside of the wheel and they will fit fine....they go on the front no problem but the back ones you need to grind down a little....i got mine on without doing it but taking them off we had to use an air gun and broke 8 out of 10 studs because i didn't know this so when i got them off i used a dremel and took a little off the hub and a little off of the wheel....so take a little time and use a dremel and grind down the hubs just a little and the inside of the wheel where the hub goes....don't make the same mistake i did cuz you'll be screwed if you get a flat

They are the same from 93-2002. The only difference is that some of the earlier cars have a bit wider hubs (the center part of the brake disc) in the back. If they fit on your 94, they should fit any F-body.

So the hubs won't be a problem then going from a 94 to a 02?

You will need to lightly sand the inside diameter of the openings in the wheels that fit over the hub. The difference in diameter is only 0.03", so we aren't talking a lot of sanding (or grinding). I'd say that for any LT1 96 or older, there's a very good chance you will have to compensate for the oversize rear hub. It's really no big deal.
