Is low traction normal in low temps.

This is my 3rd year driving in the cold winters of michigan (2nd year in camaro). I have some bolt ons, fully tuned up, 2.73s, gforce t/a kdws tires at 35psi cold. I have noticed that even on dry cement, i can't hook up at all in this cold. If i floor it at 25 or under, im pretty close to getting sideways. And then it seems at anything between 25-40 flooring will get horrendous wheel spin, Its fun once in a while but it bugs me when i need to pass or something and give it gas and it gets squirly.

My tires still seem to have decent thread on them but I dont remeber it being this bad last year. I am not going to get a set of winter tires because I will just make due with these but I am curious if this is normal and why it seems a lot more than last year. My cars been tuned up since last year and i now have phb and boxed lcas. I was thinking it is posisble the suspension mods put down more power to the ground and my tires are cold so instead of hopping like before, they spin like madd.

Yes tires tend to get harder when cold.
