Looking for inexpensive but good daily driver tires for salad shooters. I'd prefer Goodyear Eagle GS-C, but apparently Goodyear no longer makes the original Z28 tires anymore. What's a good 245/50 R16 tire?
Needs to last a long time and have excellent wet traction. No summer only tires. Should I go with BF Goodrich?

After a LOT of research, I decided on Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires. They have a warranty of 40,000 miles and last about 50,000 miles.
BFGoodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S are cheaper, but only last about 20,000 miles. They rate okay, but nowhere near as good as the Potenzas or Michelins.
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus are more expensive than the Potenzas and have a horribly ugly tread pattern and rate a little worse than Potenzas.
The original equipment Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires that came on the '95 Z28 when new are discontinued. They've been replaced by Goodyear Eagle RS-A which rate terribly and are $209 each. They are not even considerable. They are hard to find and rate 3 points below the other tires in nearly every category!

You need to compare to the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. Yes, its a "summer" tire, but has excellent wet traction rating. Why do you need an "all season" tire in Dallas? "All season" adds mud and snow capabilities.... wouldn't seem vey important.
The GS-C was an excellent tire....... 20 years ago. It was specifically designed for the C4 Corvette, more than 20 years ago. Tire technology has made huge advances in the intervening 20 years.
And, why is matching the original tread design important?

We get our occasional snow storm just about every year, and we almost ALWAYS at least get ice, so summer only tires don't work all that great. My sister is the main driver of that car, and she won't put up with switching wheels. I also don't like having to do EVERYTHING for her, so I want her to have some nice hard all seasons that won't wear out for another 5+ years.
I looked at those Goodyears, but man, those GS-D3 are really expensive! I really don't like the tread design at all.
We like to keep our cars as close to stock looking as possible. I think the Potenza tires are close enough to that original design that they'll look really nice on the car.

These are the current Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires that are rated so bad. These look about like the old GS-Cs though.
