I bought a set of chrome acorn lugnuts w/locks from O'Reilly's when I put the wheels on my car (6 weeks ago). Don't remember the brand.

They locks are the kind where you insert the key to this groove on top of the lugnut, not over the lugnut.

Turns out that the locks, and the key, are pretty much gargabe. They are both made out of very soft material and I've pretty much destroyed two of the locks and the key already (had a flat tire in the rear so I put the front tire to the rear and the spare to the front).

I didn't even bother putting the other lock on anymore after I destroyed the one in the front.

I'll probably just order a new key ($7.00) just to get the remaining two off and get the one taken off in a shop. Then I'm going to buy a decent set of locks. Suggestions?

The only brand I can think of right now is Gorilla. Are they any good? I really would like to get the kind where you insert the key over the lugnut and then open it. Do they make them like that to fit on the ZR1's? Any other brands? Part numbers?

gorilla is awesome stuff. head down to discout tire, and pick a set up. gorilla is all we seell(lugs, locks, wrenches)
