Just installed Skulte wheel spacers

Got some 1.25" spacers for the rear of my car, since I'm putting on a set of C5 wagon wheels, which have about a 1" greater backspace than the stock wheels have. Right now, I still have the stock wheels on there, as I haven't bought tires yet. But I just wanted to show some pics of the spacers, and what they look like installed. They are very light, but feel very sturdy. They are solid aluminum. I took the pictures after I installed the driver's side spacer. You can see the difference from the stock, on the right side, and the spacer, which is on the left.

Seeing that you have no hubcentric rings installed, do you have any vibration issues at higher speeds (>60mph?).

I haven't driven the car just yet (at least not above 30mph), but since they bolt onto the hub itself, and contain their own lug nuts on them, they should be already balanced from Skulte.

You really have to be careful when using spacers as most all will cause vibrations. At lower speeds it is not noticeable, but when cruising at higher speeds the vibrations will be too much. Many times you will constantly have to re-torque the spacers as well.

^ I went with Skulte spacers for two reasons. One, Skulte races them in SCCA events. Two, he has not had one failure with these wheel spacers. And, if you have ever placed one of these in your hands, you will feel it is a quality piece. I need to take it on a highway run, to see if my car wants to shake itself apart. I will give an update as soon as I get more miles with these spacers.

Finally got the chance to take the car out on the highway (when you only live 1 mi from work, you don't get to take the car up to speed very much). No balance issues. Car was smooth. Only got it up to 80, but there was less shake than with my old tires, probably due to them being out of balance.
