Hope these fit...

I recently ordered some wheels & they will be here on Friday. I got some C5 replica's that are 18x9.5 with a 56mm offset. I ordered 4 Goodyear F1's that are 275x40x18. I know that the rear's should not have any problems at all but I am worried about the front. I have a 01 Z28 with the factory ground effects kit. Is anyone running the same thing?

Oh yeah.... Are the F1's hard or soft tread? I was told they are very hard & ride like crap in the rain.

I just joined this site about 5 minutes ago. I will post picks once I get the wheels / tires put on.

Can we assume you have a 4th Gen? A "signature" with year, model, mods, etc will help people answer your questions.

For a 9.5" wide wheel, any offset in the range of 45 - 56mm will work. I run 17x9.5 56mm ZR1's in the front with no problems.

Your tire choice isn't the best though. A 275/40-18 will be a full 1" larger in diameter than your stock tire. That will throw your speedo off by 4%, and raise the car another 1/2" off the ground. For an 18" wheel, you should be looking at a 35-series tire.

Re: Hope these fit...

Sorry, I thought that I put my vehicle info in the posting. I have a 01 Z28. Well, I can't return the tires so I will just run them & buy some smaller tires for the front later. Will they still work on the front for now??

Thanks!

I got everything installed. They are 18 x 9.5 w 54mm offset. The tires are 275/40/18 Goodyear F1 run flats (friggin' hard tires) They look sweet but if I crank the wheel, they almost touch in front. I will burn these off shortly & buy some 35 series. Once I finish setting up this domain, I will post some pics.
