GTA wheels on a 4th gen

My stock wheels are starting to pit and I want to get rid of them. I love the look of the old GTA wheels. What problems would I run into if I mounted them on my 1999 Trans Am? I'm not even sure what size the GTA wheels are. I think they're 16 x 8? Offset... info... suggestions, anyone?

I think they should go on there with no problems but I'm not positive. All I know is I put a 4th gen donut on an 88 GTA and it worked fine. Donuts are probly different though.

Re: GTA wheels on a 4th gen

The bolt circle is the same, but typically the 3rd Gen wheels have about 1.5" more backspace, due to the narrower rear axle assembly. This might not be a problem, since the wheels are only 16x8. They should just barely tuck in under the fenders.... the back will be easier than the front.

Re: GTA wheels on a 4th gen

What if you got 2 sets of back wheels that way they would tuck in the front a bit better, 20mm better I believe??? I had a set of 3rd gen formula wheels on my car with the 0mm offset and 225's and they barely fit, I mean they were right at the edge of the front fender. I think they would look great as long as you could get 2 sets of rears with the 20mm offset... anyone concur?
