Re: Goodyear Eagle F1's or Michelin Pilot's

BFGoodrich's tread life was like nill. couple of passes and like maybe 1,000miles? On a 93 Lightning. That didn't spin the tires much just hooked real good. A couple of passes Maybe 8 at the track with no warm up and the the woodword dream cruise and that was about it of the tires.. Laughed and both of us have never bought bfgoodrich again. Even went to goodyears on the tahoe instead of bfgoodrich, tread life sucked on them too. Goodyears and michleins come on the viper... running 17's out back widest I can go with like a 17 X 11 rear rim and 315/45R17 or something...? I want some real tires.. Who's got em and what 60' times can you post I guess would be a good question. Both appear to be great in wet.. Not an issue.. Don't drive while raining if can help it. Not going to be doing burn outs. Just tread life and dry traction. Don't want to be spinning...

Isn't that what every one wants. Those 2 have an inverse relationship. Get more of one, loose the other. There are a few tires that have a great compromise.

Red96LT1 - How many miles do you have on your F1's? What's your 60ft times? What size are your rears?

the pilots are probably one of the best tires out there but unfortuanatly the price reflects that.
Agreed! I've got them on the front of my TA. They stick like mad. Only put a couple of K on them. But they are the best tires I bought yet for her (aka the ta).

On my 03 Lightning, the stock F1's hook well. 1.860 60' is the best so far.

How was your nap bro? hehehe

I'm feeling fairly well now - still highly stoked about my 12 sec run today!
