Re: Goodyear Eagle F1's or Michelin Pilot's

I'm running the F1 GS-D3 on 18" wheels. 245/40
(245mm was the max I could run in STX class in autocross last year)

I get 2.0 60' times. (thats with a v6 auto, stock converter, so it's decent launch considering...)

They're awesome rain tires. Best grip in the rain I've ever seen.

Minimal wear. I've had them over a year, drag raced and autocrossed with them. Last summer I put 70 runs on them in an Evolution driving course and couldn't tell there was any wear from it.

This spring I got fastest time of the day at an f-body autocross on them.

The low profile (stock height overall, on 18" rims) may be a factor in my case.

Personally, I think that Michelin Pilot Sports are the best street tire on the market with the exception of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires that are found on the Z06. They both wear pretty fast though and cost a lot more than most other street tires.

id go with the pilots. i would have when i got my new wheels but the yoks were a hell of a lot cheaper and im amazed at the grip i get from these tires.

the pilots are probably one of the best tires out there but unfortuanatly the price reflects that.

F1's. They are the most amazing tire I have ever owned. They offer amazing grip even in the rain.

Goodyears are junk. My cousin works for them and told me he hill never put a set of goodyear tires on any of his vehicles. Bridgestone Potenza tires are the s**t. I recommend them to anyone. I can mash it from a stop and the tires dont break lose unless i give them a little break. All that is about to change tho

A buddy of mine had the BF Goodrich gforce T/a's and the reallly sucked.. Wasn't impresed with them at all.. Don't like Kumho's, Toyo's, Nitto's or Yoko's anything ending with a O.. I don't want it.. So it's between the goodyears and the michleins..

Heh, I hope you're kidding. Bridgestones blow some serious fanny. Their traction is horrible in the wet or dry.

I love my Michelin Pilots. They were a little hard at first but now they're starting to really grip the road. I'll be buying these tires again, that's for sure.

michelin pilot vs bfgodrich t/a. ( treadlife=bfgoodrich)( dry traction and handling=michelin )(cheaper=bfgoodrich.)bfgoodrich is the best.

So because a tire is cheaper and last longer it means it's the better tire? Sounds like the norm around here. You might as well buy some Kumhos and think to yourself that you got a good deal.
