Is this a good wheel and tire selection?
Re: Is this a good wheel and tire selection?
The wheels are the correct offset for a 4th Gen. The tires are a bit on the narrow side, and about 1/3" smaller in diameter than the stock tires. A 275/35-18 or 285/35-18 would be preferable.
Never heard of Nexen..... I wouldn't take a chance, without seeing some test data or user feedback. Try an I'net search on "Nexen" and see if you can find any hits at all.

I thought +56mm was the correct offset?
Re: Is this a good wheel and tire selection?
e-Bay shows the offset on those wheels as 54mm.
You can use a 9.5" wide wheel on a 4th Gen, using any offset between 45mm and 56mm (some people go as low as 35 to 38mm, but they stick out too far for my personal preference). This is all covered in the FAQ stickied at the top of this forum.
Hence, the e-Bay wheels are the correct offset for a 4th Gen. Do you realize that 2mm = less than 8/100ths of an inch. What is the problem?
Getting to the point where I don't even want to respond to these questions any more, because of the nit-picking.
Wheels: 18 x 9.5 / 54mm offset replica. These wheels are......
