Good question, I'm not sure they come completely in chrome. I can say the outter ring is chrome, but the spokes aren't.

Polished won't peel or flake like chrome, so I'd be happier with it. Just an opinion though.

I've got six TTII wheels and on mine the outer ring is NOT chrome. It is a higher quality polished aluminum so it looks almost like regular chrome but at least on my wheels it is still aluminum that I use aluminum polish on

I asked American Racing about the wheels a couple years ago and they told me that the rings are chrome plated. Either way, they're shinier on the outside, polished on the inside. They would look good chromed though.

they ARE availible in chrome. call your local discount tire and tell them what you want, they'll get you some info, even if they have to get your name/number to call you back so they can make a few calls

They might just mean the center caps, which are chrome plated....pot metal or something I don't know. What's cool is you can get different center caps w/ a bowtie in them.

Are you set on the TTII's?

Or would you consider chromed aluminum one piece BULLETS?

I have them in 17X9 and 18X9 both.

They look good on a black car too.

Here they are in 17X9 on a 1999 SS convertible that we put them on:

Here they are in a 18X9 that is on my Onyx Black 2002 Phase II ZL1 Supercar:

Re: frustration w/Torq-Thrust II wheels

usually the original TTII are a 2 piece billet wheel which is why they are not chromed. high polished looks nicer but is very hard to maintain perfect. they do have one piece cast versions that come in chrome.

That's strange. I'm fairly certain mine aren't. If I used the stuff I use on them on chrome it would scratch the livin daylights out of it but it shines it up nicely. It also turns the rag black like when you polish aluminum

They might offer different options

Re: frustration w/Torq-Thrust II wheels

most billet wheels are softer then chrome so if it will scratch chrome it will definately scratch the billet. if it doesn't scratch the wheel then it must be one piece aluminum of a standard forged material. in which that case it could be chrome or polished... most likely polished though as your pocket book would reflect it.

they do offer options though.
