Freakin Tires sizes.

Anyone have experience with different tire sizes. I was thinking 275/40/17 because thats what the ss uses but I notice corvettes have 245/45/17 in the front which are cheaper. Is there any noticble difference?

Yes, they are 25mm (~1") narrower, but the overall diameter is pretty much the same.

I have 245/45's in the front right now (because that's what was on the wheels when I bought them), but will replace them with 275/40's quite soon to match the rears. They were brand new, so I'm not in a hurry.

Spend a few bucks more and you'll get the right tire.

Yes. If you have 17" wheels in a 8.5" to 9.5" width, get the 275/40/17 tires
