which drag tires

i have a 93z 6 speed with 4.10s and some bolt ons, i want to get drag tires for the rear, i am looking at getting 16 inch so i can keep my oe rims and the same tires up front, i am looking at the m/t 255/50 16 et street radial, i was wondering is there a better tire out there or if i can move to a bigger tire yet without any modifications

i agree, but from what i see most dont get the milage out of them as you do for some reason

if you drive it daily the nitto might be a better choice but bigger than a 245 as they run on the small side

You wouldn't have any problem fitting a larger tire in the wheel wells, but there aren't any larger drag radials made for 16" wheels.

Anybody tried the Hoosier 26X9.50X16? Looks look it should be great and it's less expensive than the Mickey Thompson.

With the requirements you mentioned, I think you have made the right choice. The MT street radials get the job done.
