Drag Radials on stock wheels
Drag Radials on stock wheels
So does anyone else have experience with the nittos? I'm just looking for something to fit the stock wheels and I'm not trying to spend 200 per tire either, The hoosier qtp's look good but I've heard that they aren't the best street tire, I'm looking for something that I can drive everyday on the street as well as something that will hook when I need it to. thanks in advance.
I have heard mixed opinions with the Nitto's. IMO the general consensus is that M/T makes the best all around tire. You can get them for less than $200 a tire.

If you want something to be able to drive on the street every day then nittos are probably the best choice. But they don't hook as well as Mickeys or some of the other drag radials. Its all about what's more important to you. Just don't be expecting the best 60 ft. times when you go to the track because nittos will not get them. There is a compromise with them all. Mickeys don't last to long when street driven but I've heard people say the nittos can last 15-20k miles.
Hoosier QTP are not street tires. They are DOT track tires. You would be crazy to drive QTP's on the street. I've run the QTP's..... at the track. They are too squirrly for the street, and the slightest hint of moisture and you will lose total control of the vehicle.

If you go to the Hoosier website, and click on their drag tires, including the QTP, this message pops up:
This includes the Hoosier DOT Drag Radials, which someone may actually have been thinking of, when they recommended the QTP's for the street.
