Do they make a 17" racing slick???
Do they make a 17" racing slick???
I have the chrome z06 17 9.5" rims. I wanted to know does m.thompson or somebody make a street slick to fit that size rim. I'm looking for a street slick not a drag radail
Re: Do they make a 17" racing slick???
Mickey thompson came out with a E.T. Street a couple months ago but it's for a 10.5 inch wide rim. That's the only one I know of that's a street slick
EDIT: it's for a 11.5 inch rim

Re: Do they make a 17" racing slick???
M. thompson makes a et street thats 26x11.5x17. But it reads for a 9" rim. I have a 9.5 will this slicks work on my 9.5 z06 rims. I hate to go with a drag radial. Will the et street make more of a difference in traction then a drag radial???
Re: Do they make a 17" racing slick???
From the M/T FAQ:
Since the tread width of the 26x11.5-17 is 9.5", you can run them on a wheel from 8.5" - 10.5" wide.
3.
Q: What is the approved rim range for Mickey Thompson slicks?
A: The approved rim range for race tires is the tread width plus or minus 1".
Note: The sidewall measurement will change with rim width. The rule of thumb is 4/10ths of an inch, over all, for each 1"change in rim width.

That info is direct from Mickey Thompson.
Re: Do they make a 17" racing slick???
MT makes a 17" ET Street... even though they say it's equivalent to a 275/40/17, it's actually quite a bit taller and not as wide... here's what they look like both on and off the car... for a 17" tire you will not find anything that sticks more!
PS. I am selling the rims and tires... PM me for more info!
