Is there any real disadvantage to having a pair of different tires in the front and rear? I have Two Kumho 711s which are 225/50/16 and need to getr two more tires. Would it matter if I got a different brand? Also would it matter if the new, other tires were 235s or 245s instead of 225s?

no, wont matter on brand, and id recommend getting 245's.
