Is CUSTOMSSI.COM reputable? Ordered a tire, can not get updates

I ordered a drag radial from them and I have emailed and called to check on the status since my track day is going to be here soon and I can not get anyone to reply or call back. Every time I call no one answers and I leave a voicemail but no one calls back. I have emailed also to see what the status is but with no reply. I am starting to get a little nervous. Has anyone here had any issues with orders from them?

I have not had much luck with them, personally. I've ordered from them twice and both times I ended up emailing them about a month later asking them to cancel my order because it never ended up coming. Both of these emails never got replied to. I'm not one to knock our supporting vendors, but I probably wont be ordering from them again.

You may have better luck just ordering from discount tire direct or tirerack.com and getting expedited shipping so that you can get your tires before your track date. I called discount tire instead of using their website, and the representative that helped me was very knowledgable and helpful, and he also gave me a free tire pump just because I called in.

Yeah i may have to do that. if the damn people would just answer my emails and phone calls i may have considered not canceling the order but when a business pulls crap like that it tends to make customers think they are not honest.

Oh well, live and learn.

I can vouch for tirerack.com as well, there service is incredible. As for CustomSSI, I did a transaction with them in the past and everything turned out really well. Communication was very good on there end. I have heard of others having some issues, and then I have also heard plenty of good feedback on their behalf also. Another idea would maybe be try giving them a PM on here as well. How long ago did you place the order, has it been a reasonable amount of time?

I ordered it on saturday I think and i was trying to find out of the tire was in stock or not so I could have an idea if I would get it on time.

I did pm them on here and unfortunately tire rack or discount tire either one sell Mickey Thompson drag radials.

I pm'd him on here at 1:13pm and he was last online at 1:26pm so I guess he decided not to bother answering my pm for some reason.

Discount Tire can order ANYTHING. I would personally go there over anywhere else.

Yeah, I ordered some UMI stuff from them in August as it was supposed to ship in a week. Two months later I was asking for my money back and didn't get it until December when I brought it to the board. So, I would steer clear of them.

He PM'd me last night and said they had a snow storm which caused a delay on responding. He said the tire shipped so hopefully I will get it in a day or so and the problem will be resolved. I am waiting on a tracking number.

Yeah, if he doesn't give you the tracking number, it hasn't shipped. They did that with me for awhile. Kept saying it shipped and no tracking number. It feels like a big cat and mouse game. Well, I hope you the best.

I had a similar problem, except I did not receive my parts until I made several calls and e-mails. I placed my order in August and did not receive the parts until October.

Yeah it seems like a scam. A few days ago he gave me excuses and said it was shipped and he would get me a tracking number. Two days later no one has called or emailed me back.

I told them to refund my money ASAP via email and PM here so I will be sure to post up here and on all the other forums they are a sponsor on if they try to screw me.

Customssi would not respond to my emails and pm's requesting a tracking number and would not cancel my order and give me a refund so I called paypal today and they got my money back.

I would not recommend this company to anyone and I am suprised this site allows them to be a sponsor.

Hopefully no one else will have to go through these issues with them again. If they would have just been upfront with me and told me the tires were out of stock and canceled my order it would have been no big deal.
