Make sure you get the right offset too for Fbodys, and not the Vette offset, so you don't have to run spacers.
If you run spacers that are 1/4" inch or more, its a extremely good idea to upgrade the shorter weaker stock studs to Longer, stronger ARP studs.
That can be a PITA to do them in the back,if you don't have TCS/ASR When a buddy and I did mine, we had to pull the axle's out of the housing,so we could get the stud in,because the studs are so long compared to stock, that you can't even get a good enough angle to get the stud in.
Make sure you use Grade 8 nuts though, but good luck finding those in the same size of the studs
Just a fair warning.

The stock wheels are:
16x8 55mm offset (approx 6-5/8" backspace)
17x9 55mm offset (approx 7-1/8" backspace)
I have successfully mounted 17x9.5's on the front with offsets ranging from 49mm (7-1/8" BS) to 56mm (7-3/8" BS). I think you could go as low as 45mm in the front before the tire gets too close to being outside the edge of the fender, and no more than 56mm, because the inside edge of the wheel is very close to the steering knuckle. With an 18" wheel, you could probably tolerate a little more backspace, since the knuckle is sloping away from the wheel as diameter increases.
In the back, the 17x11's need a 50mm offset (7.93" BS), to keep the tire/wheel completely under the edge of the fender, when viewed straigh down from the top. The 7.93" BS requires hammering on SOME 4th Gens. Anything more than that and you are in big trouble.
Some data from VETTE magazine on the C5 wheels (BS shown is APPROXIMATE conversion from width/offset numbers):
Z06:
-18x10.5 - 58mm (8" BS)
-18x9.5 repro - 61mm (7.60" BS)
-17x9.5 - 54mm (7.33" BS)
-17x8.5 repro - 56mm (6.90" BS)
2001-02:
-18x9.5 - 65mm (7.76" BS)
-17x8.5 GM - 58mm (7.00" BS)
-17x8.5 repro - 56mm (6.90" BS)
2000:
-18x10.5 repro - 58mm (8" BS)
-18x9.5 - 65mm (7.75" BS)
-17x9.5 repro - 56mm (7.40" BS)
-17x8.5 GM - 58mm (7.00" BS)
-17x8.5 repro - 56mm (6.90" BS)
1997-99:
-18x9.5 - 61mm (7.60" BS)
-17x8.5 - 56mm (6.90" BS)
corvette magnesium 18x9.5 offset?
Anyone know what the offset is for the Corvette Magnesium 18x9.5 wheel is?
I have 4 and am hoping they will fit on all 4 corners without any trouble. (96 Firebird)
Thanks
Kris

Think it is 65mm on the 18x9.5
I have them on my car but it is the 17x8.5 in front. No spacers
