Conflicting Tire Brands.

Have chosen to put Nitto 555R on my 95 Z28. 245x45x17 up front and
285x40x17 in the rear. Makes some sense. However, some people are
putting KDW's up front, and Nitto's on the rear for grip I take it.
Is this not a BAD idea? I understand person wants grip on the rear
and less resistance up front. But I have always been warned not to mix
Brands...What do you think.....

Also given a Killer suspension to protect rearend, can the rebuilt stock
rearend with a special Eaton Posi 3:73, stay intact with 18" tires????

Re: Conflicting Tire Brands.

They use the KDW because they work well in wet conditions. A 555R or RII are not designed with wet conditions in mind.

BTW a 555R is a DRAG RADIAL, not to be used up front.
The 555RII is for AutoX and road race.
