clear already chipping in spots??

ok just a little over a year ago i got a new set of black motorsport Z06 wheels with the polished lip, and today while i was washing the car i found a few spots on the polished part that the clear was already starting to chip off in!! (only two very small spots on the right rear) i think this is rediculous for a little over a year.. but is there anything i can do about this? or just keep takin care of em like i have and hope it doesnt get worse? (wash every 3-5 days and wax every week or 2 usually) or could somethin have gotten on them to cause this maybe? i just dont get it at all.. luckily like i said its two completely un-noticeable spots.. dunno if i cna even find em again, thought it was dirt at first then found out after i went to pickin at it

Probably a defect of some sort, and will most likely get worse over time. The best you can do is strip & redo the clearcoat once it gets bad enough that you can't stand it. It's possible that you could have gotten something on them, but I'm leaning toward bad paint or unprepped paint surface. Brake cleaners or strippers will just either ruin the finish or cause peeling, chipping is something else IMO.

thats my luck =/ oh well, they still look really good, but im always gona know those chips are there. hope they dont get worse too fast. but if it does.. it is the rear wheel.. itll just gimme a raeson to change to a 17x11 instead of 18x9.5 (this was the widest available where/when i got mine)
